URLCV (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Justni Ltd. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website, waitlist, contact form, free tools, and the URLCV recruitment platform. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Account and platform: name, email address, organisation details, and usage data when you register and use the URLCV recruitment platform.
• Candidates and jobs: CVs, job descriptions, candidate profiles, and related data you upload or create within the platform.
• Contact form: name, email, and message when you submit the contact form.
• Waitlist: email address and any details you provide when joining the waitlist.
• Billing: payment and subscription data processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
• URLCV links and engagement: viewer interactions (e.g. views, NDA acceptance, feedback) when clients or candidates use shared URLCV links.
• Technical: IP address, browser type, and similar data for security, analytics, and session management.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of: contract (providing the platform and services), legitimate interest (security, analytics, improving our services), and where applicable consent (e.g. marketing, optional features).

4. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies (e.g. session, CSRF) to run the site. We use self-hosted Matomo for analytics (first-party, no third-party tracking). Matomo helps us understand how the site is used; we do not sell this data. You can control cookies via your browser settings.

5. Third-party processors

We use trusted processors who handle data on our instructions and under contract: Stripe (payments), OpenAI (AI features such as CV/job parsing and matching), and our hosting provider. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

6. Public tools

Many of our free tools (e.g. on the Tools hub) run entirely in your browser. Data you enter there is not sent to our servers unless you explicitly submit it (e.g. a tool that requires server processing). We do not collect or store input from frontend-only tools.

7. Data retention

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or to meet legal obligations. Account and candidate data are retained while your account is active; you can request deletion. Contact and waitlist data are kept for a reasonable period to respond and manage sign-ups. Billing records may be retained for legal and accounting requirements.

8. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to: access your data, have it corrected, request erasure, object to certain processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where applicable. 9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (including encryption, access controls, and secure hosting) to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
